Black Awards Night 2012

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending Black Awards Night presented by the Black Student Union. It had been a long day and due to a prior commitment, I was arriving at the ceremony nearly 30 minutes late. After a full day of meetings, budget decisions, and other “administrivia”, what a pleasure it was to spend two hours with these amazing students. I was completely impacted and energized by the generosity, brother and sisterhood, and overall love and respect these young people showed to one another. The ceremony was a testament of what this generation has to offer the world—and if this is a representation of that potential, we are in good hands. Outstanding job UO BSU students—it was truly an honor to be there with you!
