Diversity Excellence Scholarship Banquet at McMorran House—October 25, 2011

This evening I was able to attend the annual Diversity Excellence Scholarship Banquet.  Hosted by President and Jan Lariviere, this wonderful occasion is a true celebration of diversity and academic excellence.  The University of Oregon Diversity Excellence Scholarship recognizes undergraduate and graduate students who enhance the educational experience of all students by sharing diverse cultural experiences. These scholarships are an integral part of the university’s effort to meet the educational-diversity needs of its students, and while also complementing other programs in the UO Campus Diversity Plan. The Diversity Excellence Scholarship is a tuition-remission scholarship with awards ranging from partial to full tuition and fee waivers.  It was so inspiring to meet all of the wonderful scholars—both graduate and undergraduates.  It was a wonderful evening.
